Slate 7, HP's First Android Tablet

Companies from the United States, Hewlett Packard (HP), decided to re-present in the tablet device market. On this occasion, the company from the land of Uncle Sam was already preparing a tablet called the Slate 7 that uses the operating system of Android.

Wrapped in stainless steel and plastic material 7-inch, 7 Slate weighs 368 grams and 10.7 mm thick. Touch screen type LCD supports a resolution of 1024 x 800 pixels. It runs the Android operating system version 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

Performance is supported by a dual-core processor ARM Cortex-A9 speed of 1.6 GHz and 1 GB RAM. The internal memory of 8GB is only offered, but can be expanded with additional microSD external memory card.

There are two cameras in Slate 7, a 3MP rear and front bersensor bersensor VGA. HP gives the sensation of stereo loudspeakers BeatsAudio claimed voting details and a more pronounced bass boom


Facing a lot of competition in front of the tablet such as the Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7, the company hopes to compete by presenting the most competitive price. With the price of USD169, 99 for the U.S. market, Slate 7 trying to bring a premium experience for its users.

Quoted from Mashable, Monday (25/02/2013), this tablet features the Beats Audio speakers for added comfort from the sound side, micro-USB port, soft-touch gently on the back, up to two 3 MP resolution camera on the back and VGA on the front. Although the specifications of the Slate 7 is felt not too special, this tablet still includes competitive rival views of the selling price of the device.
